Jimmy Carr was harassed…
Just a bit by his other co-stars on the channel 4 television show “8 Out of 10 Cats”.
The show had a following of 1.3 million before and 2.5 million after the folks had heard about his tax scam.
Jimmy, who is 39 years old, had admitted that he hadn’t paid much tax as their was the hidden away £3.3 million. That money had been put away by the K2 tax avoidance scheme set up by the Kirkcaldy company Peak Performance.
Prime Minister David Cameron felt that the 1% tax that Jimmy had paid was “morally wrong”.
Jimmy Carr is out of that specific tax deal now but during the television show the team captain Sean Lock told Carr:
“We all like to put a bit of money away for a rainy day, don’t we? But I think you’re more prepared than Noah.” And he also said “We can all now see why you work so hard – you get to keep all the money.”
Carr had an answer and it was “I hate to sound like I’m passing the buck, but I’ll tell you who I blame for this whole mess – me. It’s entirely my fault.”
Although the plan was legal it stinks in a lot of people minds.
There is a 13 foot tall model of Jimmy’s head once used in an advert that is now sitting in a junk yard owned by a couple of guys, Paul Johnson and Dale Sumner.
Talk is that they had bought the head for £2,000 but maybe if Jimmy is feeling right he could buy it himself for a profit to the guys and to sort of begin to make up for his silly tax dodge.
