A Russian Spy
Does it ever end? Russia recently, and I say recently because there isn’t a specific date but never the less they recently convicted a retired Russian colonel on charges of spying and sentenced him to 12 years in prison.
The guy had surrepticiously bought some 7,000 photos of maps that had supposedly tricky details.
The man of concern, Col. Vladimir Lazar then went to Belarus where he supposedly gave the maps to an American spy.
Already an aged man, he will probably die in prison, if not live out his better years.
The Russian Federal Security Service said that he is now in a high security prison and stripped of his rank.
The charge is odd in that he had bought the maps from a collector back in 2008, 4 years ago.
Supposedly the maps could be used in operations against the motherland of Russia.
Lazar had retired back in year 2,000.
